DONETSK, February 13. /TASS/. Ukrainian troops on Friday shelled a kindergarten in the Kirov district of Donetsk in the country’s south-eastern Donbas region, Donetsk news agency reported.

Spokesman for the defense ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Eduard Basurin told a briefing earlier Friday that seven people, including three children, have been killed in the republic over the past 24 hours in shelling attacks on populated localities.

"A shelling attack in Gorlovka yesterday killed in a private house three children — a year-old boy and girls aged 6 and 12 years," the agency quoted Basurin. "A total of seven civilians have been killed over the past day and 15 injured."

According to the DPR emergencies ministry, the Kuibyshev and Kiev districts of Donetsk have been subjected to the most intensive shelling.
