Shelling of Donetsk bus station kills 6, injures 8 — health minister

The defense ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic says the shelling was carried out by Kiev troops and a sabotage group

MOSCOW, February 11. /TASS/. Six people were killed and eight others were wounded on Wednesday morning when a shell hit a bus station in downtown Donetsk, the health minister of the self-proclaimed Donetsk people’s republic has said.

"Six people were killed and eight people are in a trauma unit for the critically wounded as a result of the morning shelling," Viktor Kuchkovoy was quoted by the Donetsk news agency as saying.

The shelling occurred at 8 a.m. local time. One of the shells hit a bus station "Center." The defense ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic said the shelling was carried out by Kiev troops and a sabotage group.

"This is clearly a well-orchestrated sabotage. Our experts are currently working on the shelling scene to find out the truth of what has happened. We believe that heavy weaponry was used, possibly Grad multiple rocket launchers," a ministry spokesman told the agency.

It was previously reported that four people were killed and at least nine others were wounded.
