KIEV, February 6 /TASS/. Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said on Friday that there was no classical military solution to the Ukraine conflict.
"What’s happening in Ukraine today is a threat to the European Union, NATO countries and the whole world. It is absolutely clear that Europe needs peace, which depends on peace in Ukraine," Yatsenyuk told a briefing held jointly with Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico.
"To achieve peace, Ukraine should have an opportunity to defend itself in a defensive rather than offensive operation," the Ukrainian premier stressed.
"We understand that there is no classical military solution to the conflict. No one wants a full-scale war in Europe," Yatsenyuk added.
