Buses head for Ukraine's Debaltsevo for evacuation of civilians — DPR defense ministry

Beginning 11:00 a.m. local time, civilians will be taken from Debaltsevo to Gorlovka or Artemovsk along a humanitarian corridor

MOSCOW, February 6. /TASS/. A convoy of buses for evacuation of civilians has left Donetsk and is heading for Debaltsevo, representative of the defense ministry of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic Eduard Basurin told TASS on Friday.

"The convoy has left the city, it is on its way. As of yet, we do not have information about the situation in the region of evacuation," he said, adding firing could be heard in Donetsk.

On Thursday, the representative said the Ukrainian Armed Forces confirmed a ceasefire from 9:00 a.m. on Friday. He said beginning 11:00 a.m. local time, civilians will be taken from Debaltsevo to Gorlovka or Artemovsk along a humanitarian corridor.
