Iran to increase the number of uranium enrichment centrifuges in case of new US sanctions

According to the Iranian official, negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program with the six world powers have reached an important and sensitive stage

MOSCOW, February 4. /TASS/. Iran has promised to increase the number of uranium enrichment centrifuges if the United States imposes new sanctions, Hamid Baedinejad, the general director of Iran’s Foreign Ministry Political and International Security Department, told a news conference at the Iranian embassy in Moscow on Wednesday.

"Naturally, it is a source of concern for everyone. It is a return to a situation from which no one is going to benefit. Iran will certainly go ahead with its nuclear program (in case of new US sanctions). We are going to install more centrifuges," he said.

According to Baedinejad, negotiations on the Iranian nuclear program with the six world powers (five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany) have reached an important and sensitive stage.

"At this point, we’ve decided to expand cooperation with Russia," Iranian Foreign Ministry’s official told a news conference at the Iranian embassy in Moscow.
