MOSCOW, January 7. /TASS/. The tragedy in Paris shows that Russia does not pose a threat to Europe and its security, Russia’s State Duma (lower house) Foreign Affairs Committee chairman Alexey Pushkov said on Wednesday.

“It’s not Russia that threatens Europe and its security. It’s a bluff,” Pushkov wrote on Twitter.

“The real threat comes from adepts of terror. This is the fact,” he said.

Two unidentified persons attacked the Charlie Hebdo editorial office in Paris. According to preliminary reports, 12 people were killed and four people were seriously injured. French President Francois Hollande described the tragedy as a terrorist act.
