No Russians on board lost AirAsia jet - Russia embassy in Indonesia

According to coming reports, the jet on the way from Indonesian city of Surabaya to Singapore was carrying 155 passengers, including 17 children

SINGAPORE, December 28. /TASS/. No Russians were on board an AirAsia jet gone missing, official of the consular department at Russian Embassy in Indonesia Roman Romanov told TASS on Sunday.

"We have got in contact with the air carrier and they confirmed to us that there were no Russians aboard. However, we keep following the situation," the diplomat said.

According to coming reports, the jet on the way from Indonesian city of Surabaya to Singapore was carrying 155 passengers, including 17 children. As many as 149 passengers were from Indonesia, three from South Korea and by one from Malaysia and Singapore. Contradictory reports are coming about the nationality of one more passenger, as several media said he was a Briton, but others say he was a Frenchman. Meanwhile, the air carrier said the crew was made of seven.
