DPR ready to hand over 152 Ukrainian prisoners — official

“There is a list of people who we’re ready to exchange for just tomorrow," DPR plenipotentiary envoy Denis Pushilin said

DONETSK, December 17. /TASS/. The self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) is ready to hand over 152 Ukrainian prisoners to Kiev “just tomorrow,” DPR plenipotentiary envoy Denis Pushilin told TASS on Wednesday.

“There is a list of people who we’re ready to exchange for just tomorrow. We know where they are staying. There is a chance to solve this problem urgently,” he said.

Ukraine also says it is ready to hand over 223 militiamen, Pushilin said. “Then it will be necessary to proceed with exchanging full information on the location of prisoners to exchange all of them. Such agreement was reached,” he said.

“The list includes 800 people of ours. There are Ukrainian representatives who we also feel responsible for. These are the Ukrainian army officers, who disentangled together with soldiers and turned out to be on the territory of the DPR or Russia, and they may face 7-10 years in prison for political motives,” Pushilin said.
