Japan expands sanctions in wake of situation in Ukraine

A cabinet meeting endorsed a list of twenty-six individuals and fourteen organizations mostly linked to Ukraine’s much-troubled independence-minded Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics

TOKYO, December 9. /TASS/. The Japanese government has taken a decision to introduce new sanctions in the wake of the tense situation in Ukraine.

A cabinet meeting endorsed a list of twenty-six individuals and fourteen organizations mostly linked to Ukraine’s much-troubled independence-minded Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics.

Should any properties or bank assets of these individuals be tracked down in Japan, they will be frozen.
