Luhansk wants to restore rail links with Russia by yearend

LUHANSK, December 8. /TASS/. Authorities of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic are planning to restore railway links with Russia by the end of December, Gennady Borodin, acting chief of the Donetsk Railways’ regional directorate, said on Monday.

“Railway lines are currently being reconstructed,” Borodin said. “We are planning to finish the reconstruction of one of the damaged sections by the end of the week. By December 20, the movement of trains to Moscow will be restored,” he said, adding that a destroyed railway bridge had been almost fully repaired.
