Ukraine aims to resolve the crisis through dialogue, although looking forward for military and technical assistance from the West, Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin says

BRUSSELS, November 17. /TASS/. Ukraine does not plan to resume military operations in the east but the country expects military and technical assistance from the European Union, Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin said on Monday.

“We are not going to resume offensive action in Donetsk,” Klimkin said, speaking at hearings at the European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs in Brussels.

“Ukraine aims to resolve the crisis through dialogue,” he said, noting that Kiev was looking forward for military and technical assistance from the West, even though it was “non-lethal in nature”.

He also stressed that Kiev “will continue energy supplies to the region in full.
