MOSCOW, March 26. /ITAR-TASS/. UEFA Secretary General Gianni Infantino said on Wednesday that the football association has not received as of yet any documents concerning the transfer of the Crimean Tavriaya and Sevastopol football clubs under the jurisdiction of the Russian Football Union (RFU).

Infantino said that no matter what happens in the future, the football will unite all people.

An issue of transferring Crimean sports federations under the Russian jurisdiction popped up following Russian President Vladimir Putin’s signing of a document with the Crimean authorities on joining of Crimea with the Russian Federation.

Two Crimean professional football clubs, namely Tavriya and Seveastopol, will finish this season playing within the frames of the Ukrainian championship, but will be able to compete within one of the divisions of the Russian championship starting next season.

Nikolai Gostev, the president of the Crimean Republican Football Federation, told an Itar-Tass that the federation was ready to join the RFU.

RFU President Nikolai Tolstykh said in turn that all issues concerning the participation of the two Crimean football clubs in the Russian tournament would be discussed in detail with the management of UEFA and FIFA.
