Britain’s Foreign Office offers condolences over trawler accident in Sea of Okhotsk

As many as 56 people have died and another 63 have been saved after the Dalny Vostok freezer trawler wrecked in the Sea of Okhotsk in Russia's Far East

LONDON, April 2. /TASS/. Britain’s Foreign Office on Thursday expressed condolences over the death of people in a Russian trawler wreck in the Sea of Okhotsk.

The Dalny Vostok freezer trawler wrecked in the Sea of Okhotsk 330 kilometers west of Krutogorovsky settlement in Russia’s Far Eastern Kamchatka territory and 250 kilometers south of the city of Magadan in the early hours of Thursday. The trawler, owned by Magellan LLC, was built in 1989 and its home port was Nevelsk. A total of 132 people were reportedly onboard the ship, including foreigners. As many as 56 people have died and another 63 have been saved. Another 13 people are still missing.
