Russia’s humanitarian aid delivered to Luhansk, Donetsk

Fifteen trucks carrying more than 100 tons of cargo arrived to Donetsk, and fifteen other trucks delivered around 100 tons to Luhansk

MOSCOW, February 20. /TASS/. Russia’s Emergencies Ministry’s (EMERCOM) convoy has delivered humanitarian aid to Luhansk and Donetsk, deputy director of EMERCOM National Center for Management in Crisis Situations Oleg Voronov said on Friday

"Fifteen trucks arrived in Luhansk. They delivered more than 100 tons of humanitarian cargo, most of it is food, including baby food," Voronov said.

Fifteen other trucks carrying more than 100 tons of cargo delivered humanitarian aid to Donetsk. 

After unloading the cargo, the convoy will head back to Russia. The aid delivered today will be sent to those towns which suffer from lack of food and necessities.

The aid will be distributed among the towns and settlements with the most difficult humanitarian situation. Among them are Deblatsevo and other settlements.

On Thursday, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev ordered to render assistance to civilians in Debaltsevo and other settlements in the conflict zone with difficult humanitarian situation.
