NOVO-OGAREVO, February 13. /TASS/. Former Ukrainian air pilot Nadezhda Savchenko is not a hostage and not an illegally detained person, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Friday.

"Savchenko is not a hostage and not an illegally detained person," Peskov said. "She is not a prisoner of war and not a hostage. Investigative measures are being taken towards her in strict compliance with the existing Russian legislation," he added. "Investigative Committee’s spokesman Vladimir Markin had stated that quite clearly. If there is corpus delicti, her case will be taken to court and then a ruling will follow — either guilty or not guilty.
