MOSCOW, February 12. /TASS/. Russia will continue to play an active part in Ukrainian settlement, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Thursday.

"Russia keeps playing the most pro-active part in settling the crisis in Ukraine through the early termination of hostilities, the pullout of heavy armaments, the solution of humanitarian problems and the establishment of a stable political dialogue between Kiev and Donbas, he said.

"We appreciate the energetic role of the German chancellor and the French president in that work, which contributed to a productive conclusion of the Normandy format summit meeting in Minsk just hours ago," Lavrov said.

Lavrov stressed that attempts to accuse Russia of seeking to undermine the principles of world order are absurd.

"There is nothing more absurd than to accuse Russia of seeking to undermine the principles of international order," he said at an event dedicated to the Diplomats’ Day.

Lavrov recalled President Vladimir Putin’s words that Russia would never deviate from its foreign policy course, despite any pressure.
