Russia allocates $8 mln as its contribution to global anti-Ebola efforts

MOSCOW, January 21. /TASS/. Russia will allocate up to eight million U.S. dollars as its contribution to international efforts to contain Ebola in West Africa, according to a Russian government resolution signed by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev that was posted on the official site of the government on Wednesday.

Thus, according to the resolution, up to two million U.S. dollars will be transferred t the budget of the World Health Organization (WHO). Up to two million U.S. dollars will go to the United Nations Children’s Fund /UNICEF/ as a one-time contribution. Three million U.S. dollars will go to the World Bank’s global emergency fund, and one million U.S. dollars will be allocated to the United Nations the United Nations Ebola Response Multi-Partner Trust Fund.
