Medvedev: Russia will continue humanitarian aid to eastern Ukraine

“But the Ukrainian authorities must be aware that it is their zone of responsibility to normalize life there”, Russian Prime Minister said

MOSCOW, December 15. /TASS/. Russia will continue to offer humanitarian assistance to eastern Ukraine, but it is Kiev’s competence and responsibility to organize normal life there, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said in his article “Russia and Ukraine: Life By New Rules” published in Monday’s issue of the Nezavisimaya Gazeta daily.

“Of course, we will continue to offer humanitarian assistance to these distressed regions,” he stressed. “But the Ukrainian authorities - if they really consider eastern territories to be Ukrainian - must be aware that it is their zone of responsibility to normalize life there.”.
