Medvedev on his birthday sees any imported product has substitution in Russia

“I would say, there is not a single food product which would be impossible to be replaced,” prime minister said

MOSCOW, December 13. /TASS/. Russia’s Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev is sure any imported product has a substitution in Russia. He knows so from the own experience as he organised a holiday table for guests on the birthday, where all dishes were made of Russian products, including Black Sea mussels.

“I would say, there is not a single food product which would be impossible to be replaced,” he said in an interview with the Vesti on Saturday television programme.

“I had a birthday, and of course I invited friends and decided to make it so that I have on the table only Russian products,” Medvedev said. “I had Russian cheese of truly good quality, and it was of the Caucasian recipe, not really usual for our dishes, I had beef, which is also produced in Russia, in Bryansk… and, finally, I had mussels, produced in the Black Sea, which, in my opinion, without fearing to promote them, are better than those from the Mediterranean Sea, as, of course, they are more fresh, and also more tasty.”

“From now on, we shall have everything Russia-made,” the prime minister said. “I hope we shall do everything necessary for that.”.
