MOSCOW, March 3. /TASS/. The intra-Syrian talks in Geneva should involve representatives of all Syrian political forces, including the opposition delegations formed following meetings in Moscow and Cairo and representatives of Kurds. According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the issue was discussed earlier on Thursday at a meeting between Russian presidential envoy for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and leader of the Syrian Popular Front for Change and Liberation and representative of the so-called Moscow group of the Syrian opposition Qadri Jamil.

"The two sides discussed a range of issues of the political settlement in Syria, including the implementation of the Russian-US agreements on cessation of hostilities in this country as of February 27," the Russian Foreign Ministry said. ""They drew particular attention to the resumption of the UN-brokered talks in Geneva between representatives of the Syrian government and the opposition planned for the near future in accordance with the provisions of Resolution 2254 of the UN Security Council."

The ministry added that during the meeting "(the two sides) emphasized it was imperative that all concerned Syrian parties were involved in these talks, the way it is envisaged by the Munich statement of the International Syria Support Group of February 11, among them opposition members who shared the Moscow and Cairo political platforms, including representatives of the Kurdish forces."
