MOSCOW, February 5. /TASS/. At least 162 people died in the actions of the Turkish military in Kurdish settlements, Russian Foreign Ministry's Special Representative for Human Rights, Democracy and the Rule of Law Konstantin Dolgov said on Friday referring to data from human rights experts.

"According to the Human Rights Foundation of Turkey NGO since the beginning of the active phase of the government operation in Kurdish settlements (July-August 2015) at least 162 people, including women, children and the elderly, were killed as a result of the actions of the Turkish military, and the probe into earlier revealed mass burials in south-east has not been finalized," the diplomat said.

"Curfew still remains in some settlements, thus people there are deprived of timely access to food and essentials," he said. "Some reports say the number of internally displaced persons exceeds 100,000."
