KIEV, February 9. /TASS/. Transit of natural gas via Ukraine decreased by 27.8% to 62.2 billion cubic meters in 2014, Ukraine’s Ministry of Energy and Coal Mining reported Monday.

According to the ministry, in 2014, Ukraine reduced gas imports by 30.4% to 19.5 billion cubic meters.

In 2014, Ukraine’s annual domestic gas production increased by 4.3% to 20.17 billion cubic meters, while gas consumption fell by 15.7% to 42.5 billion cubic meters on the year.
