Sukhoi to promote its Superjet 100 in India

The company’s deputy head Evgeny Andrachnikov said in an interview with TASS on Sunday

MANAMA, December 14. /TASS/. Russia’s Sukhoi Company discusses with Indian counterparts industrial cooperation to customise Superjet 100 at Indian facilities, the company’s deputy head Evgeny Andrachnikov said in an interview with TASS on Sunday.

The cooperation could be under the Made in India state programme, he said, and corporations Tata and Hindustan Aeronautics Limited could be counterparts.

“Jointly with the Indian government we shall be working on organisation of a working group to analyse possible cooperation, which may let Sukhoi enter this market,” he said.

In September 2014, India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced launch of the programme called Made in India. The programme’s objective is to develop India into an industrial country, where the state support will boost the share of industry in the GDP from 15 to 25%
