MOSCOW, June 17. /ITAR-TASS/. Russian shipping company Sovcomflot will start fuelling ships with liquefied natural gas (LNG) together with Gazprom, Gazprombank and Shell until 2017, CEO Sergei Frank said Tuesday at the World Petroleum Congress.

Sovcomflot said earlier that it was ready to run ships on LNG to comply with stricter environment protection rules which will be introduced in 2015.

There is only one LNG plant in Russia, Sakhalin-2, and it is operated by Gazprom and Shell.
