Two people die, 15 missing after mine accident in Lugansk

LUGANSK, April 26. /TASS/. Two miners died and 15 others are missing after an accident at the Skhidcarbon mine in the self-proclaimed Lugansk People's Republic (LPR), LPR emergencies minister Yevgenia Katsavalova said on Friday.

"The situation at the mine is critical. Two miners died, and 15 others are missing," LuganskInformCenter quoted Katsavalova as saying.

The accident happened at the mine early on April 25. The Russian Emergencies Ministry sent rescuers to the site upon the request of LPR authorities. LPR head Leonid Pasechnik took the situation at the mine under his personal control. He already arrived at the scene and ordered to set up an inter-departmental commission for eliminating the aftermath of the accident.
