Earthquake of 5.3 magnitude registered off Canada's west coast

No injuries or damages were reported, and no tsunami threat was issued

OTTAWA, April 23. /TASS/. An earthquake of 5.3 magnitude has been registered off Canada's west coast, Earthquakes Canada reported on Tuesday.

The first earthquake was registered at 1:27pm local time in 166 km to the west from Port Alice in British Columbia. In about an hour, another earthquake was registered in 189 km to the west of Port Alice at the depth of 10 km.

No injuries or damages were reported, and no tsunami threat was issued.
