Interpol team sent to assist in investigation of Ethiopia plane crash

PARIS, March 11. /TASS/. Interpol has sent a team of investigators to Ethiopia to support the local authorities in their investigation of the Ethiopian Airlines plane crash that took place on March 10, the organization’s Twitter account said on Monday.

"At the request of authorities in Ethiopia, we have deployed a team to assist with the investigation and international recovery effort," Interpol said.

On March 10, an Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 MAX, en route from Addis Ababa to Kenya’s Nairobi, crashed near the Ethiopian town of Bishoftu. Contact with the plan was lost six minutes after takeoff, the airline said. All 149 passengers and eight crewmembers on board the plane died.
