DONETSK, February 18. /TASS/. An explosion occurred in downtown Donetsk on Monday morning, a source in the state agencies of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) told TASS.

According to the source, the blast caused no casualties.

Witnesses say that the area of the explosion has been cordoned off. Law enforcers and firefighters are working at the scene.

Another source told TASS that two explosion-like sounds had been heard in downtown Donetsk at about 09:00 local time (06:00 GMT).

There have so far been no official statements on the matter.
