Out of the 30 apartments in the building, six were destroyed and ten damaged

KRASNOYARSK, February 15. /TASS/. Another body was pulled from the rubble of a Krasnoyarsk residential building, which partially collapsed following a gas blast on Thursday evening, the regional emergencies department said in a statement on Friday.

"In Krasnoyarsk, rescuers have completed the rescue effort and work to clear the rubble at the site of a collapsed residential building, where a household gas explosion had taken place," the statement reads. "Two people died."

The household gas blast rocked a residential building in Krasnoyarsk on Thursday evening. 12 people were evacuated. Out of the 30 apartments in the building, six were destroyed and ten damaged. The body of a woman was found almost immediately after the blast, the search for another person who was presumed dead continued in the early hours of Friday.

A criminal investigation was launched into the matter. The owner of the house, who presumably left the Krasnoyarsk region, is now being searched for. A government source earlier told TASS that the owner received a permission to build a single-family dwelling on the plot of land that he owned. No permission for the construction of an apartment building was ever issued by the authorities.
