Russia’s FSB detains three suspected terrorists in Crimea

Extremist literature, computers and means of communication were seized during searches

SIMFEROPOL, February 14. /TASS/. Officers of the Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) in Crimea have detained three suspected members of the Hizb ut-Tahrir organization outlawed in Russia, the FSB press service said in a statement on Thursday.

According to earlier reports, FSB officers conducted searches at the homes of three residents of Crimea’s Krasnogvardeisky District suspected of being involved in the activities of Hizb ut-Tahrir.

"Extremist literature, computers and means of communication were seized during searches. The suspects have been detained," the statement reads.

Criminal investigations have been opened against them under Article 205.5 of the Russian Criminal Code (organization and participation in terror groups).
