Teen fires shotgun at Krasnoyarsk regional school

According to local authorities, nobody was hurt

MOSCOW, January 25. /TASS/. A student in the village of Abalakovo, the Yeniseisk Region of the Krasnoyarsk Region, fired a shotgun he had brought to school, the district’s chief, Sergei Yermakov, told TASS on Friday.

"There was such an incident. A student brought a shotgun to school and fired it," Yermakov said without elaborating.

 No one was injured in an incident, the regional Ministry for Education told TASS. The ministry said that the deputy principal saw the school student with a rifle and called on the district police officer.

"He engaged in a conversation with him. In the presence of the district police officer, [the student] fired several shots near the school territory; no one was injured," the source said.

The school student is in the police department now, he added.

Abalakovo has about 1,500 residents and one school.
