MOSCOW, January 18. /TASS/. Rescuers have found the body of the third pilot from the Sukhoi Su-34 bombers that collided on Friday in Russia’s Far East, a spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"The pilot’s body was found without vital signs in the area of the search and rescue operation. A ship involved in the operation in this area lifted the body on board," the spokesman said.
Earlier, rescuers found the body of one more pilot. One of the four crewmembers from the crashed Su-34 jets was rescued. His life is not in danger. The fourth pilot is still missing.
Two Sukhoi Su-34 fighter bomber jets collided in Russia’s Far East on Friday while performing a planned training flight over the Sea of Japan 35 kilometers off the coast. Both crews managed to eject. The search and rescue operation continues, with warships, aircraft and civilian vessels involved in it. An ambulance plane was dispatched to the area to provide medical assistance.
