One person still missing after Paris gas blast - report

According to BFM TV channel, the missing person may remain under the rubble

PARIS, January 13. /TASS/. One person who lived in a Paris house, where a gas explosion occurred on Saturday, is still missing, France Info radio station reported citing Commander Eric Moulin of the Paris fire service.

"The explosion was very powerful, it covered the radius of 100 meters," he said, adding that the building needs to be fortified from the basement to the top. There is no access to the nearby houses now.

Moulin said 30 firefighters are working at the scene. The rescue services’ personnel will remain there for at least 48 hours and possibly, for the entire week.

According to BFM TV channel, the missing person may remain under the rubble.

The gas explosion ripped through a bakery in Rue de Trevise in the French capital on Saturday, and the building caught fire. According to the latest data, three people were killed, including two firefighters, and nearly 50 others were injured.
