Ten Russians injured in bus crash in Switzerland - embassy

One Russian woman was seriously injured

GENEVA, December 16. /TASS/. Ten Russian citizens were injured in a bus crash near Zurich on Sunday, Spokesman for the Russian Embassy in Switzerland Stanislav Smirnov told TASS.

The bus, carrying more than 40 passengers, including ten Russians, was en route from Milan to Zurich, when it crashed on Sunday morning, according to police.

The Embassy has established contact with the Russian citizens. One Russian woman was seriously injured, another man was in moderate condition, while the others were slightly injured. "The Embassy has offered assistance to them, but they said they did not need it at the moment," the spokesman said.

One person died in the crash, but the Swiss police have not reported about the nationality.

Local media reports said the bus was heading from Italy’s Genoa to Germany’s Dusseldorf.
