Police negotiations underway with teenager threatening to kill himself at Moscow school

Earlier it was reported that the student at first threatened to attack teachers

MOSCOW, December 6. /TASS/. Police negotiations are underway with a teenager who brought a knife to a school in Moscow’s southeastern Zhulebino District and is threatening to kill himself, a source in the Russian Interior Ministry’s Main Moscow Department told TASS.

"Today, police received a report that a student was threatening to cause himself bodily injuries at one of the city’s schools. Police officers were dispatched to the school, negotiations with the teenager are underway," the source said.

A law enforcement source told TASS that the incident had taken place at School Number 1359 in the Zhulebino District. Some of its students have been evacuated.

According to earlier reports, the knife-wielding student at first threatened to attack teachers and then said he would kill himself.
