One person was killed and five were injured during a hard landing of Mi-26 helicopter in Russia’s Nenets Autonomous Region

MOSCOW, November 28. /TASS/. One person was killed and five were injured during a hard landing of Mi-26 helicopter in Russia’s Nenets Autonomous Region, the region’s air traffic control informed TASS.

"The Mi-26 helicopter performed a hard landing during take-off due to icy conditions. As a result, one person was killed and five people were injured," the source stated.

The person killed was the commander of the helicopter. Preliminary reports state that there had been six people aboard the helicopter. The helicopter, belonging to the Utair company, attempted to take off from the Pijma airfield.
