More than 590 people injured in Krasnodar Region floods

Six people were killed in the disaster

MOSCOW, November 1. /TASS/. More than 590 people have been injured in floods in the Krasnodar Region, 28 of them staying in the hospital, local medical services told TASS.

"As many as 592 people turned for medical help: 560 of them received medical treatment on an outpatient basis and 32 were hospitalized; 28 people are currently staying in the hospital," the source said.

Six people were killed in the disaster, and two are missing.

About 30 communities were flooded in the Krasnodar Region following heavy rains on October 24-26. Transport communication was disrupted due to damaged highways and railroads, and more than 2,500 homes in which more than 6,500 people live were flooded. There were gas, water and electricity supply interruptions. Currently the main problems with public utilities and roads have been solved, and the flooded communities are being cleared. The state of emergency is still operating in the region.
