MOSCOW, March 27. /TASS/. The Finance Ministry states potential interest of European investors to buy Russia’s euro-denominated Eurobonds, Konstantin Vyshkovsky, head of the ministry’s state debt and state financial assets department, told reporters.
"I can say that already this time (placement of bonds on March 16 - TASS) the issue prospectus had an option that there could be an issue in euros as well, because some European investors showed a serious interest in buying securities in euros," Vyshkovsky said.
He said that the Finance Ministry may place new securities in euros if it sees that the demand is sufficient.
"Such an issuer like Russia should not issue a security for 200 million euros. In any case, the minimum volume should be hundreds of millions," the head of the department said.
