Japan’s Mizuho Bank may finance Gazprom's strategic projects

Mizuho Bank is a subsidiary of Japan’s Mizuho Financial Group with 553 offices in many countries

MOSCOW, December 5. /TASS/. Chief Executive Officer of Gazprom Alexei Miller and Board Chairman of Mizuho Bank Nobuhide Hayashi discussed prospects of further cooperation at a working meeting in Moscow, the Russian gas holding said on Tuesday.

"It was noted that Mizuho Bank has been a reliable partner of Gazprom for many years. Development of cooperation was particularly highlighted at the meeting. In particular, prospects of bank’s participation in financing of Gazprom’s projects were discussed," the company said.

Mizuho Bank is a subsidiary of Japan’s Mizuho Financial Group with 553 offices in many countries and a subsidiary bank in Moscow. Mizuho Financial Group proactively participated in many Gazprom’s transaction since 1999, including corporate and project financing and floating of Eurobonds of Gazprom Group.
