RDIF and Arab investors may apply for more shares in Russian Helicopters

In February 2017, Russia’s state corporation Rostec signed an agreement on the sale of 12% of Russian Helicopters’ shares to the consortium of the RDIF and Arab investors

ABU DHABI, November 26. /TASS/. A consortium of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and Arab investors may apply to buy an extra stake in Russian Helicopters, a leader of the global helicopter industry, Russian Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, who is on a business visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), said on Sunday.

"There is such an option and we discussed this matter [during the current visit]. We are open to such a decision. All will depend on terms. Anyway, this matter is on the agenda," he said.

In February 2017, Russia’s state corporation Rostec signed an agreement on the sale of 12% of Russian Helicopters’ shares to the consortium of the RDIF and Arab investors. The sum of the deal was 300 million US dollars.

In all, it is planned to sell a 25-percent stake in Russian Helicopters to an aggregate sum of 600 million US dollars.
