Reno Russia to start cars export to Middle East in 2017

MOSCOW, April 4. /TASS/. Renault Russia will start exporting cars to Middle East countries in 2017, Chief Executive Officer of the company Andrei Pankov told reporters on Tuesday

"Renault will start export to the Persian Gulf countries since this year; to six countries," Pankov said.

The top manager did not detail volumes of planned supplies and vehicle models.

It was reported earlier Renault started deliveries of its Logan, Sandero Stepway and Duster models to Vietnam.

"Export is becoming increasingly important in the light of the automotive industry development strategy aimed at provision of import substitution and improvement of competitiveness of Russian products. Our automobiles produced in Russia with a high localization degree are for the first time supplied to a non-CIS country market," Pankov added.
