KUWAIT CITY, March 25. /TASS/. Iraq’s Minister of Oil Jabbar al-Luiebi is planning to visit Russia in June for talks with Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak, a source with the Iraqi delegation, which arrived on Saturday to Kuwait City to attend a meeting of the committee on monitoring oil production cuts, told TASS.
"The minister’s visit is scheduled for June but the date has not been fixed yet," he said, adding al-Luiebi would be discussing "cooperation in the energy sector" with Novak.
Earlier reports said that later on Saturday the Iraqi oil minister was to attend dinner alongside five counterparts from Russia, Oman, Kuwait, Venezuela, Algeria and the OPEC secretary general. The monitoring committee’s meeting is scheduled for Sunday.
