MOSCOW, March 22. /TASS/. Arab nations show interest in procuring floating nuclear power plants (NPP) of Russian make that were developed for sea water desalination, Russian Special Presidential Representative for Environment Protection, Ecology and Transport Sergei Ivanov said on Wednesday in an interview with Rossiya 24 TV Channel.
"Arab countries are more and more interested in buying these floating nuclear power plants from us in terms of sea water desalination, rather than from the standpoint of electric power generation," Ivanov said.
Russia is the world’s only country producing floating NPP aimed not merely at resolution of environmental problems but also at sea water desalination, Ivanov added.
