Russian Direct Investment Fund, Turkish sovereign fund ink joint fund deal

Total amount of the Russian-Turkish investment fund will be up to $1 bln

MOSCOW, March 10. /TASS/. The Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and the Turkish sovereign fund signed an agreement on establishment of the Russian-Turkish investment fund on Friday. The document was signed in conclusion of talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan in presence of leaders of both nations.

Total amount of the Russian-Turkish investment fund will be up to $1 bln, RDIF press service said earlier.

"Mechanisms of joint investments as the ones with with the UAE and China" will be created with the joint fund framework, RDIF Chief Executive Kirill Dmitriev said earlier. The first deal within the joint fund framework will be made in the first quarter of 2017 in the agricultural sphere, Dmitriev added.
