PM Medvedev signs ruling to establish four advance development territories in Russia

GORKI, March 6. /TASS/. Russia’s Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has signed a resolution on creation of four advanced development territories (ADTs) in the Chelyabinsk, Smolensk, Murmansk regions and the Komi republic.

"I inform you that a resolution has been signed to establish an ADT in the Chelyabinsk region, in Dorogobuzh - that is in Smolensk region, in Evma - that is in the Komi republic and one more ADT in the city of Kirovsk of the Murmansk region," Medvedev said at a meeting with Deputy Prime Ministers.

Medvedev added that all four towns are company towns and it is necessary to create the conditions for the growth of small and medium-sized businesses there to get rid of the single industry nature of those towns. The Prime Minister noted that in recent years in Russia has created many areas of advanced development, especially in single-industry towns.

"Nevertheless, it is necessary to analyze what is happening in those ADTs that have already been created," he stressed.
