Russian energy minister to discuss Ukraine gas issue with EU energy chief on March 6

The Russian energy minister said there had been no proposals from Ukraine on holding a trilateral meeting with Russia and the EU regarding the transit and supplies of the Russian natural gas

HOUSTON, March 6. /TASS/. An issue of Russia’s natural gas supplies to Ukraine will be among others on the agenda of talks on March 6 in Houston with European Commission Vice-President for Energy Union Maros Sefcovic, Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak told TASS.

"We indeed have a scheduled meeting," Novak said in an interview with TASS. "We will be discussing a broad range of issues, including this one (on gas supplies for Ukraine)."

Novak also said that there had been no proposals from Ukraine on holding a trilateral meeting with Russia and the European Union regarding the transit and supplies of the Russian natural gas.

"No, there were no proposals," Novak said adding that he was not sure whether it was necessary to organize such meeting in the foreseeable future.
