MOSCOW, March 1. /TASS/. Russian Helicopters transferred a batch of Mi-171 multirole helicopters to China, the holding’s press service said on Wednesday.

"The contract for delivering two helicopters was signed with China General Aviation Service in 2015. The company primarily plans to use the supplied copters for environmental protection and to fight wildfires," Russian Helicopters said.
Cargo versions of the Mi-171 multirole helicopters were produced at the turn of the last year.

The copters are fitted with SAFIR auxiliary power unit, a rescue hoist and an external load sling system enabling it to transport large-size cargo weighing up to 4 tonnes.
