MOSCOW, February 14. /TASS/. Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) postponed the review of the service maintenance case against Apple Rus to February 20, 2017, the regulator said on Tuesday.
"The FAS commission has announced a break following the hearing of the case against Apple Rus (smartphone maintenance) due to the lack of all requested data. The next meeting will be held on February 20, 2017," FAS said.
As reported earlier FAS postponed the review of the service maintenance case against Apple from January 17 to January 25 due to technical reasons, after which the hearing was scheduled on February 14.
The Russian antimonopoly regulator opened a new case against Apple regarding the after-sales maintenance in December 2016. In particular, FAS received an application from a citizen who failed to replace a smartphone display in a service center as he was offered to replace the telephone by a new one. The FAS board will try the case against Apple Rus according to signs of violation of the competition protection law.
FAS is already pursuing a case against Apple regarding coordination of prices for iPhone 6s and 6s Plus models of smartphones, whose sales in Russia started in 2015.
