Ukrainian parliament passes 2017 state budget

Inflation is expected to hit 8.1% next year, while the GDP will grow by three percent

KIEV, December 21. /TASS/. The parliament of Ukraine has passed in the second reading the country’s draft 2017 budget Wednesday.

The draft was passed by 274 votes in favor with the approval from at least 226 lawmakers required.

The budget, with incomes of 706.3 billion hryvnias ($26,7 billion) and expenditures of 775.3 billion hryvnias ($29.3 billion) was approved by the parliament in the first reading on October 20.

 According to the document, inflation is expected to hit 8.1% next year, while the GDP will grow by three percent. Average yearly exchange rate of the national currency is projected to stand at 27.2 hryvnias per US dollar.
