Gazprom-OMV deal to be implemented in coming months

VIENNA, December 14. /TASS/. The basic binding agreement on asset swap between Gazprom and OMV will be implemented in the coming months, Chairman of the Executive Board at OMV Rainer Seele told reporters.

"The agreement between Gazprom and OMV will be implemented in the coming months," he said.

It was reported earlier that Gazprom has reached the asset swap agreement with the Austrian OMV.

The companies plan to close the deal on asset swap on January 1, 2017. As a result of the deal, Gazprom will receive 38.5% of Norway's OMV subsidiary - OMV (Norge) AS. The Austrian company, in turn, will receive 24.98% in development of 4 or 5 sites of the Achimov deposits in the Urengoy gas field in Siberia.
